From one person's suggestion comes great fun for all: INTERNATIONAL
STARGATE APPRECIATION MONTH!
Ten years after the movie premiered, fans of "Stargate SG-1"
have declared the month of March as International Stargate Appreciation Month,
with March 11th being the "Official Holiday."
1) Write and tell us about your favorite episode!
2) What is it about Stargate that you love the most? Write and tell us.
Send what you've written to Dana
Jeanne and we'll post them at ourstargate.com
on a special page! Make sure you use the name you want "published"
whether it's your real one or a nickname. As they come in, we will be bringing
up the episode links so everyone can re-watch their favorite episodes and
discuss them!
The Commentary
Page is now live!!! Check out all the wonderful commentaries by fans and we’ve
got some pretty pictures, too. Don’t forget to keep checking back, by the way,
because we will continue to add new commentaries as they come in!
3) Do you make graphics? Are you a Banner-creator? Design a banner for
International Stargate Appreciation Month and send it to us; we'll post it at
the International
Stargate Appreciation Month Banner Page! Don’t forget to keep checking
back, by the way, because we will continue to add new banners as they come in
(and we’ve been adding them on a daily basis)!

4) Write to the cast and crew and let them know how much you've enjoyed
watching them over the years. Is there a certain episode where you thought they
were exceptionally brilliant? Tell them! Postage from the US to Canada is 60
cents. If you can't afford the stamp, email the letter to Dana
Jeanne and we'll happily mail it for you (we will need your real name and
address to do this, though). The address for all cast and crew is:

If you’d like to send a special post card for International Stargate

March 11th is the "official Holiday", and the Our Stargate chat room
will be open all day long for fans to drop in and chat about what makes
Stargate worth coming back for. Bring snacks.
The month-long
celebration will culminate in Pasadena, CA with the attendance by many fans at
Creation Con on March 27 and 28th, where special Sunday guests will be Michael
Shanks (Dr Daniel Jackson), Tony Amendola (Bra'tac) and Amanda Tapping (Major
Samantha Carter).
