Our Stargate Appreciation 101
It all began with a great, fun idea on the
Our Stargate forum from one of our members: International Stargate Appreciation
Month. ISM is over, but we still have the wonderful essays, banners and
postcards archived on our site! Make sure you check them out! The link remains
on our headers and on the banner below. We had so much fun doing it, though, we
decided to extend the celebration throughout the year. So we’re focusing on a
different team member or a different aspect of the team each month, with polls
and special threads and encouraging folks to contribute graphics and so on.
We’ll be archiving their efforts on the site as we go, and hope you enjoy
sharing in the fun!
February
and March 2005 are International Dr. Janet Fraiser Month on the Our Stargate
Forum! We’ve linked to some of the polls and threads on the Janet Fraiser
Appreciation page and provided some graphics from our talented forum members.

January
2005 was General George Hammond Appreciation Month on the Our Stargate Forum!
During the course of our lives, we cross paths with many who help shape and
nurture our souls. These rare individuals become as foundation stones in the
course of our lives. It is these individuals whose stalwart presence gives us
direction. These are the individuals from whom we seek guidance, stability and
protection. Rare are they whose mere presence gives us the feeling of safety
and permanence even if their presence goes unseen. There has always been one
such presence in the Stargate universe. One whose individuality and personality
have given comfort in the dark hours. One whose reassuring voice bids you
farewell and greets your homecoming. To this individual, we dedicated the month
of January 2005 to appreciate all he has done for the wayward traveler and the
intrepid explorer, for the bold idealist and the adventurous soul. (Grateful
thanks to OS Moderator Tiv for providing these wonderful words to describe
General Hammond.)

encourage you to go back through all of the Appreciation pages full of

forum members since last March and just enjoy and appreciate all the characters
and aspects of Stargate that you love the best! Just page on down to find the
links to each individual “Appreciation” site. And stay tuned in 2005 for brand
