General Hammond Appreciation Month
January
2005 is General George Hammond Appreciation Month on the Our Stargate Forum!
During
the course of our lives, we cross paths with many who help shape and nurture
our souls. These rare individuals become as foundation stones in the course of
our lives. It is these individuals whose stalwart presence gives us direction.
These are the individuals from whom we seek guidance, stability and protection.
Rare are they whose mere presence gives us the feeling of safety and permanence
even if their presence goes unseen. There has always been one such presence in
the Stargate universe. One whose individuality and personality have given
comfort in the dark hours. One whose reassuring voice bids you farewell and
greets your homecoming. To this individual, we dedicate the month of January
2005 to appreciate all he has done for the wayward traveler and the intrepid
explorer, for the bold idealist and the adventurous soul. (Grateful thanks to
OS Moderator Tiv for providing these wonderful words to describe General
Hammond.)
We’ve
